11 May 2011 (Mexico City) - Legendary luchador, Mil Mascaras, was honored at a grand ceremony with the release of three postage stamps bearing his image. Many dignitaries, peers, and an overflow crowd of fans gathered for the event. Among those in attendance included his brother and fellow luchador, Dos Caras, and Jeffrey Uhlmann, the writer-producer of "Mil Mascaras vs. the Aztec Mummy".

The Son of El Santo gave a moving tribute to Mil Mascaras, who performed in the ring and in many classic films with both his father and him. The three "Icon" stamps of Mil Mascaras represent the first time a living person has been so honored.
